2/29/2024 Fallout 76 why does it tell me to pre purchase when i have already boguth the gameRead Now(Yes, I'm talking about a certain cowboy hat-wearing do-gooder. I'm hoping the supposed Wasteland "dailies" are what these are supposed to be. This game is screaming for some form of procedueral generation if only to keep things engaging and interesting. Those aren't nessecarily bad in my opinion, in fact I wager there are now more things to do at any given time compared to Fallout 4 or 3, but none of that content is dynamic enough to keep my interest for long after the first few times doing it.Įvery daily and event plays out in the exact same way, in the exact same place, with the same exact enemy placement. Now, FO76 isn't an MMO by far, but we're already getting dailies, repeated events, seasonal events, etc. It starts to go against what makes Bethesda games so unique: a large immersive open world that does it's thing with or without your intervention and can be modded to death. I think a large chunk of the Bethesda playerbase wanted this, myself included, since we all knew once you enter MMO territory, the need to properly maintain it comes with it. That would have been way easier than what they tried, and it seems that's all anyone wanted. I'd love to hear the opinions of the growing F76 community. What was their plan? Did they genuinely not see the problems prior to launch? Did they actually believe a multiplayer-only Fallout was what people wanted? Has Tod been possessed by Sheogorath? However, they would have killed the game pretty quick after such a disastrous launch if this were the case, much less continue updating and adding new content (like Wastelanders). My first thought was that it was a shameless cashgrab, made with little effort for easy money. This got me thinking: why didn't Bethesda just make another single-player Fallout, maybe even with 2-4 player co-op? That would have been way easier than what they tried, and it seems that's all anyone wanted. However, almost every positive review now says things along the lines of "It's like a single-player Fallout now," or "finally a single-player style Fallout I can play with a friend". I do hate Bethesda, but this game is making improvements. I want to make it clear I don't hate this game.
